The Center for Collaborative Research became operational in 2018 with a $258,000 grant from the Office of the Vice-President of Research. The University of Minnesota Crookston provided the rest of the funds. The lab is equipped with Shimadzu Gas Chromatograph coupled to Mass Spectrometer, an ion Chromatograph, a total organic content analyzer, and an infra-red spectrophotometer. Other instrumentation in the lab includes a rotavapor, a multvapor, plate reader and other miscellaneous instrumentation.
